Our take
The no-fee grocery-and-dining card. $500 in spend is a week of groceries for most families, and 3% on food with no cap beats most $95 cards' effective rate once you remember the fee. Easy approval tier too.
Who it's for
People who want cash back on food without an annual fee or categories to activate. Approval tier is friendlier than most cards here.

How to stack it
Time the application with a big planned expense (insurance, tuition, a trip) so the spend requirement is money you'd spend anyway.
Shop through a cashback portal and the card's own offers (Chase Offers, Amex Offers, Capital One Offers) while meeting the spend — the bonus stacks on top of normal earning.
Set a calendar reminder for the end of the spend window and another before the first annual fee posts.
Verified: Capital One's Savor page, Oct 8, 2026: “Earn a one-time $200 cash bonus once you spend $500 on purchases within the first 3 months from account opening.” $0 annual fee. Source: capitalone.com. Offers change; the issuer's page is final.

Common questions
Is there an annual fee?
No. Savor has no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee.
Answered by StackTheDealWhat earns the 3%?
Dining, entertainment, popular streaming services and grocery stores (excluding superstores like Walmart and Target), plus 8% on Capital One Entertainment tickets. Everything else is 1%.
Answered by StackTheDealCan I get it if I had the old SavorOne?
The Savor is the renamed SavorOne. Capital One's rule is no bonus if you've received a Savor or SavorOne bonus in the last 48 months.
Answered by StackTheDealDoes Capital One pull three bureaus?
Usually yes, so expect up to three hard inquiries.
Answered by StackTheDealHow fast does the $200 post?
Once you spend $500 in 3 months it typically posts within one or two statements.
Answered by StackTheDealCan I pair it with the Venture X?
Yes. Savor cash back can convert to Venture miles if you also hold a Venture, Venture X or Spark Miles card, making the 3% categories worth even more on travel.
The easiest premium card to justify: $300 travel credit + 10,000 anniversary miles ≈ $400 back on a $395 fee, so you're holding a lounge card for about nothing.
This is unusually generous for a $95 card — the $300 credit is on top of the normal 75k, so you're looking at a four-figure first year for a sub-$100 fee.
