Booking a hotel this fall or for winter break? Sign in (free) on Expedia before you search: signed-in members see Member Prices on many hotels that guests don't. Compare the total with taxes and fees against the hotel's own site, then book whichever is lower.
How to stack it
- Sign in or create a free Expedia account first, so Member Prices show in the results.
- Filter by 'Fully refundable' so you can rebook if the price drops.
- Pay with a travel card that earns extra on travel (Chase Sapphire Preferred earns 2x on travel).
- Compare the final total (taxes and resort fees included), not the nightly rate.
